The Hope Collective Student Academic Peer Mentorship Programme

The peer mentorship programme conducted at Kebun Baru Community Club pairs up student participants with student volunteers in a “buddy-system” mentorship. Student mentors take on the role as big-brother/sister role models who show, guide and listen, diligently and patiently to the kids who need help with their studies. The programme focuses on both academic progress (tutoring) and holistic character development (confidence-building and motivation).

Talent Discovery Camp (Kids Camp)
The annual Kids’ Camp is under peer mentorship, where a 2-day non-residential camp at the Kebun Baru Community Club (KBCC) is organised for the benefit of Pre-school, Primary school and Lower Secondary kids from low-income and needy families.

We aim to organise talent discovery camp during the major school holidays, so as to allow the children from needy families to experience various activities (e.g. soccer training, fun chemistry classes, wushu) and to develop a stronger interest in school.

We are seeking volunteers with educational and co-curricular educational experience, youths with interest in conducting kids/youth workshops, and youths who are interested in mentoring fellow youths.
